A major development in travel and tourism, after the metro bus, orange line train, and electric buses in Lahore, electric trams will now also run.

The first electric tram from China has reached the capital, which will initially be run on the route from Canal Road Thokar to Jallo Mor.

According to media reports, after the metro bus, orange train, and electric bus, trams will be seen plying on the roads of Lahore. The tram imported from China consists of 3 boxes, which runs entirely on electricity.

According to sources, the electric tram will run 25 to 27 kilometers after a 10-minute charge and has a capacity to travel 250 people. The assembly of the tram consisting of three boxes is being done at the Ali Town depot. The tram will be run as a pilot project in the first phase.
