In the meeting, the Prime Minister was apprised of the steps taken so far in customs inspection and assessment. Artificial Intelligence-based risk management system will also be activated soon. The meeting was informed that the time required for customs clearance is being reduced to a minimum by using artificial intelligence in customs scanners. The government’s effective actions against smuggling have reduced the illegal shipment of goods and increased the number of customs clearances under the regular legal system.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Mosaddiq Malik, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Division Ahad Khan Cheema, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, and other concerned government officials attended the meeting.
