Heavy Rains Forecast

More heavy rains forecast in different parts of the country, with fear of flooding in rivers. More heavy rains have been predicted in different parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will enter Pakistan on August 29, and a series of westerly winds is also likely to enter Pakistan from August 30.

More rains have been predicted in the upper and central regions from August 29 to September 2.

There is a risk of flooding in the rivers of Kashmir, Murree, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi due to heavy rains, while there is also a possibility of flooding in the rivers of Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Swabi, and Mardan.

In addition, there is a risk of flooding in the low-lying areas of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Mardan.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a risk of landslides in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, and Kashmir, while fears of damage to weak infrastructure, poles, billboards, etc. due to wind and rain have also been expressed.
