ANF’s remarkable success against international drug trafficking network.
In the ongoing war on drugs, ANF achieved significant success and thwarted the smuggling of a huge quantity of weed into Pakistan.
As a result of this important success, ANF recovered a total of 31 kg 200 grams of weed. ANF’s secret sources monitored various networks in Southeast Asian countries. ANF personnel deployed in all international airports, especially in the cargo section, were alerted.
Based on credible information, 45 suspicious boxes coming from Thailand were checked in the cargo shed of Islamabad Airport. During the search, 31 kg 200 grams of weed, very skillfully hidden in 195 small packets of chili paste, were recovered. The recovered drugs were sent to a fictitious address in Islamabad.
The scope of the investigation has been expanded and a search has been started for the members of the gang present in Pakistan.
ANF, despite its limited manpower and resources, is continuing its mission to make Pakistan drug-free by vigorously pursuing anti-drug operations.
