Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to target Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and launch new attacks on Iran.
The Turkish news agency “Anadolu Agency” quoted a major Israeli newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, as saying that during a visit to the Ramon Air Force Base in southern Israel on Sunday, Defense Minister Katz said, “I want to give a clear message to Khamenei from here: If you continue to threaten Israel, our long arms will reach Tehran again with greater force than before, and this time to you yourself.”
There was no immediate reaction from Iranian officials to the Israeli Defense Minister’s threatening statement, but the statement came at a time when a 12-day war between the two countries had ended a few weeks ago, during which Iran and Israel had targeted each other’s installations, after which US bombers had also bombed Iranian nuclear sites.
