Hajj 2025 Pilgrimage from Mina

Makkah is now being visited by almost two million Muslims, who made the annual Hajj pilgrimage this week. This year, people on pilgrimage came to Mina, a city covered by white tents. Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik was chanted by pilgrims all over the valley as they entered Ihram, spoke their Hajj intentions and began the special journey ahead of them. Of the total annual pilgrims, more than 115,000 Pakistanis are involved which demonstrates strong dedication and unity.

Mina Meets with Her Believers

The Mina tent city became very lively but also solemn as 1.6 million visitors arrived in white which represents the similarities and humility all people have before God. More than 8,000 buses were shown by Saudi officials to carry pilgrims from different areas in Makkah like Aziziyah, Naseem and Batha Quraish. On Wednesday evening, everyone who came to the festival was safely inside their tents. Hot weather did not stop the crowd from being reverent, as they prayed and thought about what would happen next.

Pakistan’s Participation

In 2023, Pakistan is sending 88,301 pilgrims funded by the government and also 27,012 pilgrims who are using private services. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has made it easy for Pakistani pilgrims by providing smooth transportation and housing and assigning them to certain areas in Mina. There are doctors, chefs and spiritual leaders among those set up to give pilgrims the support they need. To many, traveling to Mecca means fulfilling years of wishes and setting aside large sums of money. As the experience hits them very emotional and spiritual. Again, this year was one where Pakistan held the lead in sending people to Hajj.

Going from Mecca to Arafat

On the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, every pilgrim attends an important part of Hajj called Wuquf-e-Arafat which takes place in the plain of Arafat. They gather there to pay the Zuhr and Asr prayers as one and hear the Hajj sermon coming from Masjid-e-Nimrah. Those on pilgrimage stay in Arafat until the sun sets and keep busy with prayer, reflection and heartfelt repentance. Everyone at Arafat is asking for mercy and seeking forgiveness in the spiritual heart of the pilgrimage.

The journey starts at Arafat and ends in Muzdalifah

Pilgrims move from Arafat to Muzdalifah after sunset, without having Maghrib prayer. Once they arrive in Muzdalifah, people offer both the Maghrib and Isha prayers together and spend the rest of the night outside. Many pilgrims remember the Holy Night highly, since they gather pebbles to eventually symbolically stone the devil. A cool desert night follows the high emotions of Arafat, offering pilgrims a break so they can be rested for the coming day.

Paying homage to the ideas of symbolism and sacrifice is significant

On this day, the pilgrims will go to Jamarat and throw pebbles at the main pillar, meaning they reject anything bad. Upon stoning, the next ritual is to sacrifice an animal as an appreciation of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience. Men will finish shaving their head and women will cut off some of their hair. As a way to recognize their release from Ihram. They are important traditions because they signify humility, submission and devotion. For numerous Pakistanis, forming part of these groups with millions of other believers makes them feel unified as Muslims.

Walking around the Kaaba and Continued Commitment

During Dhul-Hijjah, the 11th and 12th days are important because people perform the stoning ritual, this time at all three Jamarat areas and with seven pebbles each. Once Ramy is done, they will go to the Holy Kaaba for Tawaf al-Ziyarah (the visit of love) and next they will move to perform Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. They mark the end of Hajj with thoughtful prayer and pure devotion. Some pilgrims might decide to sleep in Mina on the 13th day, finish stoning and finish their Hajj rituals the following morning.

Saudi Arabia’s Help and Use of Technology

The Saudi government has deployed more than 250,000 people and over 40 government agencies to take care of Hajj appropriately. To secure the event and make serving pilgrims easier, innovations such as artificial intelligence, drones and automatic tracking systems have been used. Due to the excessive heat this summer, health advisories are advising people to drink water and cover up in the sun. There are many white umbrellas, mist fans and sources of cold water at every location in Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat. Many pilgrims have appreciated the good coordination of logistics and the spiritual leadership along the journey.

Gathering from All Across the World

Hajj does not just require people to go; it also shows the unification of Muslims globally. Pilgrims from over one hundred different nations have registered and King Salman’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is welcoming 2,443 of these guests. This journey brings together people from different cultures, races, and language backgrounds in worship and helps them form lasting friendships. Despite many differences in the world, the Hajj teaches Muslim’s peace. Fumility and their common faith by reminding them all of their early beginnings and why they exist.

Conclusion

Over a million Muslims have traveled to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage and more than 115,000 are from Pakistan, making it one of the biggest gatherings of faith on the planet. All the stages of Hajj, starting in Mina, passing in Arafat and ending in the Kaaba, bear significance and meaning for pilgrims. As the group repeats Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, it proves that Islam today. Based on devotion, equality and peace, is the same as it has always been.
