Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that Pakistan and China’s armies are truly brotherly armies, and the Pak-China partnership plays an important role in safeguarding common strategic interests.

Addressing the People’s Liberation Army’s Foundation Day ceremony at GHQ Rawalpindi, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the Pak-China strategic relations are a great example of mutual trust. The strategic relations between Pakistan and China are a great example of mutual trust, the Pak-China relations are a great example of unwavering support and shared determination, and despite the changing strategic environment, the Pak-China friendship has always been strong and invincible.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while appreciating the key role of the PLA in China’s defense, security and national construction and development, said that the relationship between Pakistan and China is unique, the relationship between the two countries is tested and very strong despite every changing regional and global challenge.

On this occasion, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong thanked the Field Marshal and said that the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism is important.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chinese Ambassador reiterated his strong support and commitment to the Pakistan-China strategic partnership. The Field Marshal emphasized the strength and strategic importance of Pakistan-China relations.

According to the ISPR, Defense Attaché Major General Wang Zhong and officers of the Chinese Embassy attended the ceremony. Senior officers of all three armed forces of Pakistan were also present at the ceremony.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir warmly welcomed the Chinese guests and congratulated the People’s Liberation Army on its 98th anniversary.
